Facebook to Get an FPS

Ease up, FishVille: Ane ambitious independent developer wants to institute casual FPS execute to the massive Facebook games platform.

What's the first title of respect that comes to mind when you think about Facebook games? Sicilian Mafi Wars, perhaps? FishVille operating theatre FarmVille? Whatever the game, information technology's likely played via a simple point-and-suction stop port, with nobelium fancy-graphics or l33t gaming skillz required.

At least one company wants to change that, though – indie developer 3G Studios has announced Brave Arms, "the prime 'social triggerman' for you and your friends to toy with and stay adjunctive on Facebook." Players will be able to make their own in-back avatars so compete against their friends, in what looks like a honest browser-based 3D Federal Protective Service.

"Our new title, Brave Arms, will bring First-Mortal Torpedo games to the people," says James Kosta, boss of the Reno, Nevada-based 3G, "It's about instantaneous-paced activeness and either competing against or forming teams with your friends. We want people to feel empowered and to partake in in a real telecasting game experience."

3G Studios has antecedently developed games equal Jillian Michaels' Physical fitness Ultimatum 2009 for the Wii (probably not very relevant to the development of this plot), SWAT: Prey Liberty connected the PSP (probably to a greater extent relevant than Fitness Ultimatum), besides as iPhone games Zombeat and The Deep.

IT's an interesting idea, melding "traditional" gaming with the massive casual gaming platform that is Facebook. Only time will tell if it'll pay off.
